2016 Barbera
Tasting notes
During the gold rush era, Calaveras County was the most widly planted region in California for grapes. Thousands came to search for their fortunes, and brought their passion for great food and wine. These traditions continue today, and this Barbera is a tribute to those who brought the culture of wine to the Mother Lode. Enjoy aromas of cherries, lavender, and sweet spices followed by rich plum and dark berry flavors. Terrific with tomato based foods, dark meats, and blue cheeses.
