The motherlode region is famous for Zinfandel, and our Zin comes from thirty year old vines in the Dogtown area in the hills above Angels Camp. Aromas of plums and blackcurrant greet the senses, and on the palate we find blackberry and wild berry flavors along with a little pepper spice. A nicely balanced California classic!!

Traditionally known as a blending variety, Cabernet Franc just happens to grow extremely well in our region!  This esteemed varietal boasts wonderful aromas of cherries, a floral note of violets and a touch of white pepper spice and then gives elegant flavors of black cherry, blackberry, and currant, followed by a long, lingering finish!

This is our favorite!  It has buckets of wild berries coming to the ose and complex flavors, with layers of Blackcurrant, Blueberry, and Backberry Jam!

 Aromas of raspberries, blackberries and vanilla wake your senses, followed by hints of cherries, plums, and berries on the palate. 

A new vintage of Barbera is here!  This, our final vintage from the 30 year old Metzger Vineyard, is a richer and more robust style of Barbera compared to previous years, with rich blackberry fruit and a touch of chocolate on the nose and a whole bunch of berry jam on the palate. 

A great year for Malbec! This classic grape which is the most famous grape grown in Argentina is very rich and full bodied with predominant black cherry and blackberry flavors and a long, lingering finish... This is the perfect pairing for a tender, wood grilled flank steak with chimichurri!

This signature blend is packed with loads of fruit characters.  On the nose there is a touch of cedar and spice that really accentuates the cherry and cassis aromas. On the palate we have dense black cherry and currant flavors given by the Cabernets and textbook blackberry characters from Merlot.  Malbec gives a bit of extra weight, and there is a touch of oak on the finish.

With our Great love for Petite Sirah, and with our quest to craft the most amazing PET ever, we bring you "Tres Vignerons" or three vineyards of rich, voluptuous Petite Sirahs blended into one bombastic blend.  This is a combination of wild berries on the nose, followed by dense layers of Blueberry and Blackberry and a long lingering finish.

The climate and soils of Calaveras County are perfectly suited to Italian varietals. This one boasts aromas of cherries, lavender, and sweet spices that give way to rich plum and dark berry flavors. Terrific with tomato-based foods, dark meats, and blue cheeses. These grapes were sourced from two amazing vineyards in Calaveras County; The Villa Vallecito Vineyard, surrounded by New Melones Reservoir, and the historic Metzger Vineyard in San Andreas.

Complex aromas of casis, cherries, and cedar give way to concentrated flavors of blackcurrant and black cherry, framed with a mocha nuance.  This vintage blew us away and also the Orange County Wine critics!

Our favorite Petite Sirah has buckets of wild berries on the nose and complex flavors of Blackcurrant, Blueberry, and Blackberry Jam. We call this PET 'The Dark One'... one look at the glass and you will see why!

The clone of Tempranillo used is called Toro and is perfectly suited to the slightly cooler spring that is common at this vineyard, so the growing season is a little longer creating more complexity as it gets more time on the vine! This Temp sports abundant plum and a bit of spice on the nose and a bunch of black cherry and wild berries on a rich full-bodied palate. This is made especially for Paella (Well not really, we let the wine kinda go its own way) and it is great with mildly spicy cajun cuisine and Spanish tapas. Probably a fine match with Buffalo Wings if you can ever imagine finding wings on a buffalo!
