The maturity of our Estate vineyard gives us rich, concentrated wines, and this Merlot actually drinks as heavy as some Cabs! Brimming with flavors of fruits like blackberry and cherry. This would be GREAT with pork tenderloin, stuffed with toasted hazelnuts, blackberries and feta cheese

The climate and soils of Calaveras County are perfectly suited to Italian varietals. This one boasts aromas of cherries, lavender, and sweet spices that give way to rich plum and dark berry flavors. Terrific with tomato-based foods, dark meats, and blue cheeses. These grapes were sourced from two amazing vineyards in Calaveras County.  One is surrounded by New Melones Lake, which has a very tropical climate. The other 38% is from an Organic well manuicured vineyard.

Complex aromas of casis, cherries, and cedar give way to concentrated flavors of blackcurrant and black cherry, framed with a mocha nuance.  This vintage blew us away and also the Orange County Wine critics!  It received a Double Gold Medal at the Orange County Wine Compeition!

Our newest Bordeaux style blend is bombastic! 48% Cabernet Sauvignon blended with 29% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Malbec is sure to be a crowd pleaser, with rich aromas of cedar, cherry and cassis  and a bit of spice that give way to generous flavors of black cherry, blackberry and black currants. Terrific balance and complexity make this selection a real crowd pleaser, with over two years age in French Oak barrels plus two years of bottle age.

We have always thought our Merlot has a bit of an identity crisis...It usually drinks more like a Cabernet, with a lot more backbone than a typical Merlot. It boasts wild berry and plum aromas followed by a burst of blackberries and other dark fruits on the palate, with just a touch of oak character, being aged in 100% French Oak barrels...

Well, it's been a while since we had a good Zinfandel to offer! Our last Vintage was a monster, and this newest offering, from the Dalton Vineyard does not  disappoint, bursting with concentrated, delicious fruit flavors!  Now we have a big and rich, jammy Zin that is a fine balance of big fruits and a little spice that is perfect for your summer BBQ! Just whip up a ZIN-full sauce Dem Bones on the grill ! 

This esteemed varietal boast wonderful aromas of cherries, a floral note of violets and a touch of white peper spice and then gives elegant flavors of black cherry, blackberry and currant, followed by a long, lingering finish.

To toast good memories we bring you La Calavera, The Skull, where Calaveras County gets its name.  This blend of noble grapes of Spain and Argentina exhibits rich aromas of berries and sandalwood spice, followed by flavors of cherries, cassis, and blackberry.

This drinks more like a bombastic Cabernet Sauvignon.  It boasts aromas of black cherries, boysenberries and flavors of crushed blackberries, plums and a light touch of oak character, from over two years age in French Oak barrels.

There is never anything 'Petite' about our favorite dark wine! Grown on 30 year old roots, our PET has always been our favorite variety grown at our estate vineyard. This vintage features the usual rich wild berry arromas followed bwonderful flavors of blackberry and blueberry. A perfect match for Lamb Chops, a Hearty Ribeye, or special Chocolate Brownies (made with wine of course)   

Our Rhone-style white blend is made up of 67% Roussanne and 33% Viognier from our own Cherokee Creek Estate Vineyard, and so continues our tradition of combining the two white grapes we grow, giving lemongrass, honey, and floral aromas followed by flavors of quince, stonefruit, and coconut.

This signature blend is packed with loads of fruit characters.  On the nose there is a touch of cedar and spice that really accentuates the cherry and cassis aromas. On the palate we have dense black cherry and currant flavors given by the Cabernets and textbook blackberry characters from Merlot.  Malbec gives a bit of extra weight, and there is a touch of oak on the finish.

Rich aromas of blueberries, coffee, and lavender spice followed by rich, dense flavors of plums, black cherries, and blackberry jam. This is truly a monstrous wine with its abundant fruits that literally burst on the palate!

Great with leaner meats such as venison and buffalo, stinky cheeses and especially ....'shrooms!
