2020 Merlot

Our Estate-Grown Cherokee Creek Merlot has a lot to live up to, after four consecutive gold medals for the 2016-2019 vintages! As usual this years version has a bit of an 'Identity Crisis' in that it is not your typical tootie frootie light bodied wimpy Merlot... it drinks more like a bombastic Cabernet Sauvignon.  It boasts aromas of black cherries, boysenberries and flavors of crushed blackberries, plums and a light touch of oak character, from over two years age in French Oak barrels. Try it with one of our favorites... A wood-grilled Tomahawk Chop, which is ALMOST as big as this wine!
