2017 Malbec

2017 Malbec
2017 Malbec

The Malbec grape originates in the Bordeaux France, where it has been used for blending, but it has become the principal grape grown in Argentina. In Calaveras County, warm days, cool nights and low humidity make the ideal climate for Malbec, and here we have aromas of cherries, raspberries and lavender spice and flavors kind of like a Cherry Jolly Rancher

Tasting notes

The Malbec grape originates in the Bordeaux region of France, where it has been used for blending and has also been the principal grape grown in Argentina.  In Calaveras County, warm days, cool nights and low humidity make the ideal climate for Malbec.  Rich aromas of blueberries, coffee, and lavender spice followed by rich, dense flavors of plums, black cherries, and blackberry jam.  Great with leaner meats such as venison and buffalo, stink cheeses and especially .... 'shrooms!
