2018 Barbera

The climate and soils of Calaveras County are perfectly suited to Italian varietals. This one boasts aromas of cherries, lavender, and sweet spices that give way to rich plum and dark berry flavors. Terrific with tomato-based foods, dark meats, and blue cheeses. From the organic vineyard of Metzger Farms in San Andreas.  Definitely a great wine with Osso Bucco, and would be GREAT with spring Leg of Lamb!
