50% Tempranillo and 50% Malbec is this years blend.  It exhibits rich aromas of berries and sandalwood spice, followed by flavors of cherries, cassis, and blackberry.  

Our new vintage of Malbec is a very full bodied wine! Blackberry is definitely the most pronounced fruit here, both on the nose and in the taste of the wine!

This signature blend is packed with loads of fruit characters.  On the nose there is a touch of cedar and spice that really accentuates the cherry and cassis aromas. On the palate we have dense black cherry and currant flavors given by the Cabernets and textbook blackberry characters from Merlot.  Malbec gives a bit of extra weight, and there is a touch of oak on the finish.

With our Great love for Petite Sirah, and with our quest to craft the most amazing PET ever, we bring you "Tres Vignerons" or three vineyards of rich, voluptuous Petite Sirahs blended into one bombastic blend.  This is a combination of wild berries on the nose, followed by dense layers of Blueberry and Blackberry and a long lingering finish.

Aromas of raspberries, blackberries and vanilla give way to intense and voluptuous flavors of plums, cherries, and berries.  

The climate and soils of Calaveras County are perfectly suited to Italian varietals. This one boasts aromas of cherries, lavender, and sweet spices that give way to rich plum and dark berry flavors. Terrific with tomato-based foods, dark meats, and blue cheeses. These grapes were sourced from two amazing vineyards in Calaveras County.  One is surrounded by New Melones Lake, which has a very tropical climate. The other 38% is from an Organic well manuicured vineyard.

Traditionally known as a blending variety, Cabernet Franc just happens to grow extremely well in our region!  Boasts of wonderful aromas of cherries, a floral note of violets and a touch of white pepper spice and then gives elegant flavors of black cherry, blackberry, and currant, followed by a long lingering finish!

Complex aromas of casis, cherries, and cedar give way to concentrated flavors of blackcurrant and black cherry, framed with a mocha nuance.  This vintage blew us away and also the Orange County Wine critics!  It received a Double Gold Medal at the Orange County Wine Compeition!

This blend of 50% Malbec, 27% Tempranillo and 23% Graciano was co-fermented, which allowed all of these varieties to ferment together, creating layers of complexity, and exhibiting rich aromas of berries and sandalwood spice, followed by flavors of cherries, cassis, and blackberry and a touch of an intriguing mocha character which is  a nice surprise! 

Rich aromas of blueberries, coffee, and lavender spice followed by rich, dense flavors of plums, black cherries, and blackberry jam. This is truly a monstrous wine with its abundant fruits that literally burst on the palate!

Great with leaner meats such as venison and buffalo, stinky cheeses and especially ....'shrooms!

We have always thought our Merlot has a bit of an identity crisis...It usually drinks more like a Cabernet, with a lot more backbone than a typical Merlot. It boasts wild berry and plum aromas followed by a burst of blackberries and other dark fruits on the palate, with just a touch of oak character, being aged in 100% French Oak barrels...

Our favorite Petite Sirah has buckets of wild berries on the nose and complex flavors of Blackcurrant, Blueberry, and Blackberry Jam. We call this PET 'The Dark One'... one look at the glass and you will see why!

The clone of Tempranillo used is called Toro and is perfectly suited to the slightly cooler spring that is common at this vineyard, so the growing season is a little longer creating more complexity as it gets more time on the vine! This Temp sports abundant plum and a bit of spice on the nose and a bunch of black cherry and wild berries on a rich full-bodied palate. This is made especially for Paella (Well not really, we let the wine kinda go its own way) and it is great with mildly spicy cajun cuisine and Spanish tapas. Probably a fine match with Buffalo Wings if you can ever imagine finding wings on a buffalo!  

To toast good memories we bring you La Calavera, The Skull, where Calaveras County gets its name.  This blend of noble grapes of Spain and Argentina exhibits rich aromas of berries and sandalwood spice, followed by flavors of cherries, cassis, and blackberry.
